Tito's only invited guests were Willie Bobo, Patato Valdes, Mongo Santamaria and, I think, it's Bobby Rodriguez on bass. Legend has it that a bottle of rum was passed around, and then it was placed on the floor, surrounded by these giants, as the session began. Mongo told me that there was no rehearsal. You've got to hear it to believe it. The recording is absolutely crisp. It sounds like a recent recording. This historical CD is the stuff of legend."
