Part of a suite of four crossover Fania All Stars albums that Columbia Records released in the mid-late '70s fusing disco, salsa and elements of jazz as well. The batch consisted of Delicate and Jumpy (1976), Rhythm Machine (1977), Spanish Fever (1978) and Cross Over (1979). This one featured Papa Lucca, Nicky Marrero, Johnny Pacheco, Roberto Roena, Bobby Valentin, Ismael Miranda, Ruben Blades, Louie Ramirez, David Sanborn and others.
